First set using right hand, neatness deteriorated in direct proportion to increase in boredom. Used the same tool for left-hand so that there was a direct comparison (fair enough, I thought). Drawing left handed was quite a lot easier than I expected, so if I lose my right arm in a hideous industrial incident, I could still draw with my left hand. So that’s good news isn’t it?
Didn’t have the mental stamina for a whole page of this.
For the second batch, I switched to a random pencil from the brand new pack of 15 I had purchased, lo and behold it was a B.
The pencil in the left hand was harder to grasp than the gel pen used for the first set as more pressure was required so it was generally just harder, a lot harder. Interest diminished very quickly.
However what I did discover was that I really liked the texture of the close drawn circles against the smooth paper (I used a really cheap sketchbook for this) which had been drawn with the right hand. The lefty ones didn’t feel anything like as good, not so close together I think is why.
So that was genuinely interesting, maybe I should be doing sculpture!!!
