Okay, well not OK actually. Was really looking forward to the Foundation Drawing Course and connecting with classmates etc and accepted that as this is an online course, naturally, there was gonna be quite a bit of online activity.
Have spent pretty well all of the last 3 days online, in the dark, one platform to another, no clear signposting, no real guidance and deffo no interaction with others. Excepting of course a fab WhatsApp group 3 of us have set up allowing some human contact and without that I’d be seriously thinking to bin off the course.
So to be clear have tried the following : OCA:learn | OCA:forums | OCA:spaces and all of these contain multiple dead end feedback loops and no proper guidance. Off site there is also the OCA discord server and numerous Facebook groups though to what extent they will be useful remains to be seen.
The only thing I want to know but cannot find : who are my year mates : how do I find them : how to connect with them.
AND, as a creative the very last thing I need is days on end in front of a monitor / tied to my phone. Literally, it’s the last thing I wanted.
